Please do it quick before legco passes 3D into law. |

When each audience buys ticket he can choose a green ticket if he supports 3D or a red ticket if he does not support 3D. If your audience is much bigger than 821 people than if talk is much more reliable than the Chinese University opinion poll by phone. I am sure you will beat them and you will have at least 5000 audience if it is held on a non-racing saturday or sunday. |

汤博士的这篇质疑力挺或打压楼市3D民调的文章似乎丢了身份，确定了自己的站队，就是公开对立于香港贫困线以下的一百三十万香港人民。仅仅调查他们就足够了，用不着再指责他们“百無聊賴，或者憤慨的人才會積極參與作答”。人们在一个地域里生存应该享有该地域均等的时空和大自然的物质所有权，譬如海洋、陆地、矿山、人力、科技、银财等等，也包括为何得到的利益极少的小民、却要承受富人们用巨大利益所排放的污染和拥挤。马克思说的剩余价值归属失平不无道理。香港不只是富人的，富人独享资源从根本上说就是反人类的。穷人也是人，没有他们谁来给抢占资源的人打工啊，被剥削了还要嘲笑他们活该。我也说一句：有些所谓的香港精英简直太不要脸了！ |

我想博士是指出 民調操作者只需精心找出， 特定的一組人的活躍時間， 便可以得到他預期的答案， 能在繁忙的上班時間， 空閒的抽出時間做電話民調， 實非我等勤奮之輩能做到的。 即使說他們是遊手好閒， 也沒有不錯，與貧窮無關
這個只是例子， 其實電話號碼的字頭多少也代表了那個人的身分 我身邊有錢的朋友的電話號碼都是九字頭開始的， 年輕一輩的朋友或近期來到香港的人， 電話號碼的字頭是六字頭的， 其實還有很多其他方法可以影響民調 |

I try to understand the 民意調查 more thoroughly. It might not be fair to critize the quality of those 民意調查 which were done by university academics. They should have sufficient knowledge to make a proper questionaire which is neither bias nor mis-leading. However, I don't quite understand why the sampling size is so small. With over 7million population in Hong Kong, the involved participants are less than 1000 people? Or with such a low sampling rate, they ( university ) should have at least informed the public that the standard deviation would be much bigger, which means, in other words, the 民意調查 is not successful. I start to worry about the quality of our university education. |

However, I believe it might be true that some property owners also support the 3D policy. They are waiting for the downturn of property price in order to buy more. We have 1million or more people living below the poverty line ( by the way, I never buy the idea of poverty line ), which means, we have the rest as potential buyers in the market. Of course this is not quite true, as we need to take away those non eligible ( baby, children, student, senior citizen, ...etc. ); in any case, we have a considerable number of people waiting for the chance to buy more property. I believe a majority of property owners believe the property market remains healthy in the long run, taking into consideration the supply cannot be increased sharply in the foreseeable future. So, just like those trading in the stock market, someone will buy shares every month to reduce the risk. Someone will buy his / her second or third property at a lower price. |

Statistically, a sample size >500 is large enough to form a view that represents the population. Survey is something that can be manipulated. Very often, questionnaires are designed backwards based on the "expected" answer. In this case, whoever design the questionnaire should declare whether he/she owns property. |
