What the concerned parties said in the City Forum by RTHK on Sunday: It was agricultural land & living place..
See Why the Secretary for Development did not attend the meeting and the representatives could not show more data relating the current agricultural products and its production volume compared to that from the imports (i.e. relative percentage)
See Why the Secretary did not give more options such as Lands inTung Chung and/or North-West in N.T. or Reconstruction of existing old estates in the original sites..
Also, CY, so far, has not given out a future plan for managing uncontrollable demands: -
over 200,000 applicants for public housing in HK;
~ 200,000 persons living in sub-divided flats in HK;
~ 200,000 Dragon Babies on the waiting list from mainland;
~ 55,000 immigrants per year from mainland; and
~ 50,000 HK Born Babies a year.
The lawmakers are only responsible for their voters ! The government officials can only focus on the city planners & money from taxpayers ! The kids/ young generation just want to have a fair and open discussion with HKG !
Think about the others such as seats for education, patient beds, employments, wastes treatment, etc... In short, CY & his dream partners should do more homework...
